(Washington, DC) -- Vice President Pence is canceling a pair of appearances this week due to the rise in coronavirus cases. A Trump campaign spokesperson told USA Today the cancellations included stops in Florida and Arizona.
His bus tour in Florida on July 2nd has been postponed out of what is being called an abundance of caution. Pence had planned to campaign in Lake Wales and Sarasota, and the stops were being billed as part of the, "Great American Comeback Tour."
Whilte House officials have confirmed that Pence will be in Florida on July 2nd to meet with Governor Ron DeSantis and state Health leaders.
Pence had also been scheduled to speak at a Faith in America event in Tucson on Tuesday which has also been postponed.
Both states reported a surge in COVID-19 cases this week.
