Brewers Walk Off With Season Sweep Of Rays

The Milwaukee Brewers (60-50) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (58-52) 4-3 in ten innings on Wednesday afternoon at American Family Field in Milwaukee. The win gives the Brewers a season sweep over the Rays, having won all four matchups in the interleague series, and the Rays finish a six game road trip with a 3-3 record.

After Milwaukee got two in the first, the Rays answered with a RBI single from David Peralta in the third and a solo homer from Yu Chang in the fifth to tie the game 2-2. Randy Arozarena hit a solo homer in the seventh to give the Rays a 3-2 lead.

That lead would hold until the ninth inning when Rowdy Tellez homered off Colin Poche to tie the game 3-3. In the tenth the Rays were unable to get anything thanks to a couple of outs on the bases, and Willy Adames came through with the RBI single to lift the Brewers to a 4-3, ten inning when.

The Rays are now off on Thursday before beginning a three game series against the Orioles on Friday night. First pitch Friday is scheduled for 7:10 PM - Jay Recher begins pregame coverage with the Inside Pitch at 6:00 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
