Ormond Beach's Capt. Jonathan Campos was of the victims in the crash near Washington D.C., Wednesday.
According to the FAA, it's unknown if Campos--a certified commercial airlines pilot--was piloting the American Airlines jet at the time of the crash.
All 64 people aboard the jet and the three soldiers aboard the helicopter were killed in the collision.
34-year-old Campos was an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University graduate, who was also a helicopter pilot and a certified aviation mechanic.
