The Tampa Bay Lightning (47-26-8) defeated the Florida Panthers (47-31-4) 5-1 on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena. With the win, the Lightning have finished with the #2 seed in the Atlantic division, and will host face the same Florida Panthers in the first round of the NHL playoffs with home-ice advantage.
The Lightning got goals from Brayden Point (who finished with three points on the game), Conor Geekie, Jake Guentzel, Nitkita Kucherov and Darren Raddysh in the win. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 23 saves in net to help the Lightning come away with two points.
The Lightning now wrap up the regular season against the New York Rangers on Thursday night. Puck drop from Madison Square Garden in New York is scheduled for 7:00 PM between the Lightning and Rangers.
