A man was arrested after throwing a sex toy that struck a 9-year-old girl and her uncle at a WNBA game.

Kaden Lopez, 18, was booked into Maricopa County Jail on suspicion of disorderly conduct, assault and public display of explicit sexual material during Tuesday (August 5) night's game between the Connecticut Sun and Phoenix Mercury at PHX Arena, FOX 10 Phoenix reports. Lopez was detained by police at the arena after he allegedly threw a "green dildo."

"Video footage shows Lopez, sitting in his seat, he retrieves the green dildo from his sweater front pocket then throws the dildo forward. He then stands up and leaves the area," a court document obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix states.

A witness who works as a volunteer at PHX Arena said they tracked down Lopez and tackled him as he attempt to leave prior to officers arriving at the scene.

"The adult male victim was interviewed. He stated he was watching the WNBA game with his 9-year-old niece, when something hit his back then fell to the ground next to them. He realized the object that hit him was a dildo. He desires prosecution," the court document states.

Lopez reportedly told officers that he was sorry and was following a "stupid prank that was trending on social media." The incident at PHX Arena was the latest in which sex toys have been thrown at WNBA games recently, which includes the games between the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream on July 29; the Valkyries and the Chicago Sky on August 1; and the Indiana Fever and Los Angeles Sparks on August 5.

Additionally, a sex toy was thrown at Barclays Center during Tuesday's game between the Dallas Wings and New York Liberty, however, didn't reach the court. Delbert Carver, 23, was arrested in relation to the initial July 29 incident at the Valkyries-Dream game in Atlanta and charged with with disorderly conduct, public indecency/indecent exposure and criminal trespass, Cleveland.com reported.
