Former NFL Team Doctor Diagnoses Health of Aaron Donald's Ribs vs. Packers

Clay Travis: “What about Aaron Donald’s health? You talked about the impact of the cold weather on Goff’s thumb; how would you assess Aaron Donald if you were trying to put the percentage that he would be able to be full-go?”

Dr. David Chao: “I think the percentage that he will be full-go or near full-go is very high. In the cold weather, Marcaine or Novocain works just as well, and that’s what he’s going to need in his ribs and cartilage to be able to play. No real practice this week, but he will be full-go I anticipate at Lambeau Field.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to former NFL team physician Dr. David Chao, who worked with the formerly known San Diego Chargers, join Outkick the Coverage to give his prediction on how Aaron Donald’s ribs will fare this Saturday against the Packers at Lambeau Field.

Donald suffered torn cartilage in his ribs during Los Angeles’ 30-20 victory in Seattle last Saturday. He exited the game during the third quarter and did not return, but Donald says he was planning on returning to the game before the Rams went up 30-13 on the Seahawks in the fourth quarter and effectively put the game out of reach.

Donald has not missed a single game due to injury during his entire seven-year NFL career. Two games he missed in 2017 were from holding out because of a contract dispute, and the Rams resting their starters in Week 17 before the playoffs.

Check out the video above as Dr. Chao details to Clay Travis what the outlook should be for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.
