Jerry Jones Didn’t Have to Say the Quiet Part Out Loud

After TJ Watt signed his extension with the Steelers, Cowboys’ pass rusher Micah Parsons and Bengals’ edge Trey Hendrickson are the last remaining defensive ends still waiting to agree on contract extensions. Their respective owners have very different negotiation tactics and DP levels some very familiar criticism at Jerry Jones for putting headlines over winning, something he seems to do at every single opportunity.

Dan Patrick: “You might think this, but you don’t have to say the quiet part out loud…Jerry Jones says too much, and I don’t know why you bring up something with Dak Prescott. I don’t know why you bring something up with Micah Parsons. Now I know he loves to be in the headlines, and the Cowboys are constantly in the headlines. Nobody has produced less but gained more attention in the history of sports than the Dallas Cowboys, and here we are again.”
