N.I.L. Is Comical When Nobody Knows Who These Players Are

Michigan State Men’s Head Basketball Coach, Tom Izzo had some comments critical of the direction that NCAA sports are taking under N.I.L. rules and Doug weighs in. He reminds us that Name, Image and Likeness is a joke when nobody has any idea who these players are, especially in the Tourney. It’s just a disingenuous way to pay college athletes so we can pretend they’re not professionals.

Doug Gottlieb: “Nobody knows who these players are, they’ve never truly known who they are but especially now so, and the comical thing about N.I.L. is, it has nothing to do with your name, image and likeness because they don’t really have a ton of value.”
